Fear of Numbers

Neil deGrasse Tyson is awesome. What he’s talking about here is how culturally, Americans hold on to old number traditions that don’t make sense any more. Not when it’s supposed to be a progressive society.

In a lot of ways I think America is not a progressive society at all. Though technology and military are strong the ideals of yesteryear are nearly extinct. The people in power have become to self interested and power hungry. Change and progress are the enemy of the powerful. History shows us this. Okay I think that’s enough raving.

Fear of numbers is actually a real thing. It’s called Triskaidekaphobia.
